Obituary for Marcia Ann Harvey

Funeral service for Marcia Ann Harvey, 68 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at God's Family Community Church with Rev. Rudolph Johnson of God's Family Community Church officiating.

Mrs. Harvey passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Lawton.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Marcia was born on June 6, 1946 in Rushville, Indiana to Tom and Elaine (Kennedy) Griffin. She grew up in Rushville where she attended school. She came to Lawton in the 1960's where she married Bruce Harvey on December 11, 1981. She owned and operated Marcia's Daycare for several years. She loved being around children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marcia was a member of God's Family Community Church and she loved to read, watch movies and play word games.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Stephanie Foxx, of Lawton; three daughters and sons in law, Terri and David Bryant, of Cache, Sherri and John Cox, of Fletcher and Penny and Brian Landmark, of Lawton; her sister and brother in law, Gloria and Tony Edwards, of Lawton; 9 grandchildren and spouses, Chris Hilliard, Jason Hilliard, Sean and Cecily Burge, Nathan Landmark, Jordan and Chris Zemlin, Meckenzie Nelson, Devin Bryant, Delanie Bryant and Kassidy Nelson; five great grandchildren, Kinzie Hilliard, Becca Burge, Brooklyn Burge, Shane Burge, and Haydn Landmark; her niece, Angie Bowers and her husband, Paul, Sr., and their children, JR and Melissa Bowers; her nephew, Charlie Sanders, Jr. and his children, Allison and Joshua Sanders; and a host of loving, and caring friends including the "Lovely Ladies of God's Family Community Church".

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to "The Elaine Griffin Scholarship Fund" in memory of Marcia Harvey at God's Family Community Church at 4814 NW Floyd Lawton, Oklahoma 73505.
