Jack McDonald Anderson, age 93, of Winchester passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Ridings Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Ridings Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born June 3, 1921 in Frederick County, the son of the late Cecelia M. Anderson and Henkel W. Boyd. He was a member of Ridings Chapel United Methodist Church, served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired truck driver with 29 ½ years of service. His last driving job was with McLean Trucking Company, Winchester.

Surviving are his wife, Edna Evans Anderson; three daughters, Susan Anderson Wills of Rupert, WV, Sherry Anderson Whitacre of Winchester and Diane Anderson Ellis of Maurertown; his sister, Audrey Anderson Dorton of Winchester; three grandchildren, Alicia Ellis Welch, Tiffany Whitacre McMahon and Amber Whitacre Pitts; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Welch and Ayva Marie Tudor.

He was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Mary Boyd Shyrock and Lena Boyd Luttrell; two half-brothers, Maynard Boyd and Robert Boyd.

Pallbearers will be Tom Evans, Bob Evans, Maurice Ramey, Art Parente, Mark Grim, Rick Grim and Daniel Whitacre.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Grim, Gordon Gardner, Ronnie Cornwell, James "Buddy" Ash, and Dean Heishman.

Friends may call at anytime at Stover Funeral Home, 177 N. Holliday St., Strasburg.
