Dale Bradford Brimley passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2015. He was born in Salt Lake City on March 10, 1926 to James Clyde and Jennie Fontella Bradford Brimley.
Dale attended South High School and was serving in the Navy when World War II ended. He then served an LDS mission to Argentina, as well as serving 2 missions later with his wife to Colonia Juarez, Mexico and the Church Education System. Dale married Barbara Jean Hoppie in the Salt Lake Temple on March 13, 1953, and together they had 6 children. He received a Bachelor's degree from UCLA and did post-graduate studies at the University of Utah. He worked as an actuary and held several different church callings, fulfilling each with diligence. Dale loved learning and most especially loved the gospel and sharing it with people. He also enjoyed volunteering, being with children, and singing.
Dale is survived by his children; 31 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren; siblings.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, grandson, Cody Grover, and great-grandson, Isaac Paul Brimley; siblings, Gene Paul, Jay, Lila Griner, Inez Marler, and Mark.
