Harold Lee White Mr. White, age 87, of Pineville, NC, died May 19, 2010 at CMC-Charlotte. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Green Memorial Baptist Church, Reverend Matthew Eades officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. White was born in Charlotte July 20, 1922, son of the late William Lee and Beulah Skidmore White. He was a long-time member of Green Memorial Baptist where he served as an Usher. He attended Taunton High School in Taunton, MA, and served in the Pacific Theatre in the US Navy during WWII from 1942-1945. He retired after 35 years with Ford Motor Company. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Rogers White, sisters, Gilda Brissie of Pineville, NC, and Carolyn Grolman and husband, Norman of Del Ray, FL, brothers, James W. White of Burlington, NC and Gerald M. White and wife, Nancy of Charlotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Black and Louise Campbell Helms and an infant brother, Richard White. Memorials may be made to Green Memorial Baptist Church, 1324 The Plaza, Charlotte, NC, 28205. Arrangements are in the care of Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. (704)395-0055
