Ricky Stephens, 27, went gratefully to heaven January 14, 2015 after an eleven year hard fight.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18th at Ranchhouse Fellowship Cowboy Church with Pastors Jerry Joe Cox and Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ricky was born December 1, 1987 in Abilene to Kim (Gore) and James Stephens. Ricky graduated from Merkel High School. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers or go jeeping when he was able. Family and friends were his life. Ricky loved to aggravate kids and his dad mostly. He had such a big heart; he would give you anything he had if he thought you needed it. He will be missed by anyone that ever met him.

Survivors include his parents, a brother, one nephew, one niece, two Grannys, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by uncles, Doug Gore, Lonnie Jowers and Joe Seaton; grandfathers, Pop Bob Stephens and Grandad Leroy Gore.

In lieu of flowers there is an account in his name at Prosperity Bank to help with funeral expenses.
