Margaret Cothran Powell, 91, formerly of 101 Piedmont Avenue, died January 13, 2015 at NHC Healthcare-Greenwood. Born in Edgefield SC, she was a daughter of the late George T. and Permelia Ransom Powell. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a niece, Ramona McKee Jefferson (Denton) of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn McKee and Dorothy "Dot" Boggero; two brothers, John "Bud" Powell and George "Bo" Powell; and a niece, Barbara "Bobbie" McKee. Burial will be private.
