Earl Russell, 84 of Oak Ridge passed away on January 13, 2015 at Methodist Medical Center.
He was born to parents Harvey and Ester Lively Russell in Morgan County on October 29, 1930.
Earl worked as a barber in Oak Ridge for over fifty years, taking pride in his profession and enjoying his customers, many of them became life-long friends. He attended Robertsville Baptist Church.
He absolutely loved his family, and took much pride and happiness with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Earl enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include Wife of 61 years, Geneva Kelly Russell, Oak Ridge; Son Robert Russell and wife Vicki, Elliston, VA; Daughter, Esther Lynn Russell, Oak Ridge; Sister, Rozella Glover, Oak Ridge; Granddaughter, Jennifer East and husband Eric, Knoxville; Great-grandchildren, Warren and Calvin East. Many niece and nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 11 AM till 1 PM in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM with Rev. Brian Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
