He was born Dec. 26, 1917. He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an owner of a rod and reel shop in El Dorado for several years. He also flew for Murphy Oil.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Bruce & Edna Pogue Rush), his wife, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by two children, Pamela Rush Thomas and Kenneth P. Rush; two sisters; one brother; and eight grandchildren.
Cremation services are under the direction of Arkansas Funeral Care of Jacksonville.
No services are scheduled, and his remains will be scattered.
