Wilma Joyce Armitage, 84, Lincoln County resident, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Armitage was born September 8, 1930 at their rural western Lincoln County home to Fred and Fanny (Floyd) Frost. She graduated from White Rock High School and attended Oklahoma State University. On July 7, 1949 she married Lee Armitage. She spent much of her life as a homemaker but also worked many years at Tinker and as a realtor in Shawnee. Mrs. Armitage was a member of Harrah United Methodist Church where she served as choir director and played the organ. She was a 4-H Leader and enjoyed livestock competitions, sports, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Survived by: 3 Children; Michael Armitage and wife Martha of Claremore, Mark Armitage and wife Lisa of Meeker, and Mitchell Armitage and wife LiAnn of Jacktown; 8 Grandchildren: Kevin, Merrit, Turner, Justin, Bradley, Leslie, Hannah, and Sarah; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Tyler, Cole, and Brooklyn; 1 Sister: June McMahan of Shawnee; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Harrah United Methodist Church with Rev. Kelly Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Jamison Cemetery.
