Death, Monday night, called Mrs. Effie Draper, 75, mother of Mrs. L. L. Hamilton. She made her home in Springfield since 1948 with Dr. and Mrs. Hamilton, and had been virtually bed fast for the past 3 years.
The family has gone to Mt. Pleasant, Utah where services will be held Saturday at the Second Ward Latter Day Saints Church and interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Mrs. Draper was born Jun 14, 1877, at Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Nels and Julia Ney, pioneers of the Utah country. She was a member of the L.D.S. church. her husband, Albert Draper, died in 1950.
The Drapers had 11 children, two of whom are deceased. Surviving children are Mrs. James (Rita) Erickson, Willets, Calif.; Mrs. Hamilton & Marlin Draper, Springfield; Woodrow Draper, Grand Junction; Harold Draper, Orangeville, Utah; Andy Draper, Oakridge, Ore.; Lloyd Draper and Mrs. P.E. (Leora) Ralph of Salt Lake City, Utah. There is a sister, Mrs. O.J. Sorenson, Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Elmer Ney, Spanish Fork, Utah; G.F. Ney, Reno; Angus Ney, Clearfield, Utah. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Draper was well known in Springfield, although she had been ill for several years. She made many friends, knitted and crocheted and took an active interest in many things.
