He was a native of Greene County but had lived here for a number of years.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Febuary 18, at 4 o'clock from the Chapel of Berry-Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. John B. Seals and the Rev. Norman Williams officiating.
Interment was in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leola Chapman of Hardwick; four, daughters, Mrs. Myrtice Gibson, Devereaux; Mrs. Louise Cheely, of Milledgeville; Mrs. Montine Land, Darien, Ga.; and Mrs. Annett Marcus of London, England; twenty seven grandchildren and fifty one great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Berry-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
