Mrs. Opal McCullah, age 83 of Corbin, KY departed this life on Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Corbin Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 8, 1929 in Knox Co., KY and was the daughter of Reuben Helton and Allie (Rice) Helton. Mrs. McCullah was a member of the Paint Hill Baptist Church and had been a dietary aide at the Barbourville Nursing Home. She was the widow of Lester Campbell and Fred McCullah.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Allie Helton, her first husband Lester Campbell and her second husband Fred McCullah, a son Harry Smallwood, and a daughter, Brenda Sue Campbell, one brother Terry Helton and two sisters, Wanda Helton and Nannie Perry.

Survivors include three sons, Leslie Campbell, Jr. of Walker Park Rd., Rick Smallwood of Bowling Green, KY and Ivy Carter of Florida, two daughters, Sherry Church and husband Matt of Corbin, KY and Sandy Broughton and husband Rick of Smokey, two brothers, Argentus, Helton and Delaney Helton both of Woodbine, one sister Etta Bradford of Barbourville, six grandchildren, Sheila Berry and husband Allen, Tracy Henson and husband Gary, Karlie Johnson and husband Dustin, Kayla Church, Jimmy Campbell and Dustin Broughton, seven great grandchildren, Dakota Berry, Abagal Berry, Xavier Johnson, Hunter Campbell, Isaac Campbell, Sylvia Henson and Bradley Henson. Mrs. McCullah also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal McCullah will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tony Jackson officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Chance Cemetery at Woodbine. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
