She received her education from the Kemper County School System where she attended the St. Mark Headstart Center, DeKalb, MS; West Kemper Elementary, DeKalb, MS; and was a 1986 graduate of West Kemper High School in DeKalb, MS. She had a special love for her family and friends and had a kind heart and humble personality. She had a comforting and nurturing spirit and was a friend to many. She will be truly missed!
She married Reginald “Reggie” Spencer, a native of Scooba, Kemper County, MS, and was the beloved mother of one child, a son.
Brenda had been employed with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians in Choctaw, MS, as a Slot Machine Attendant at the Pearl River Resort Hotel and Casino for several years. She was currently employed as a cashier at Tooney’s in DeKalb, MS, at her demise.
Ms. Spencer, age 46, exited this mortal life to a life of immortality on Tuesday evening, January 13, 2015, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Lauderdale County, MS, to forever dwell in that beautiful, celestial city called Heaven where no travelers have ever returned.
She was the Wife of Reginald "Reggie" Spencer; the Mother of Laquendrick Spencer; the Daughter of Eddie Hugh Payton and Mertis Sue Gaddis Payton; the Sister of Eddie Wayne Payton, Debbie Jean Payton Rush, Sandra Payton, Shelton Payton, James Hershel Payton, Johnny Payton, Fredrick Dale Payton, Kenoshy "Ken" Payton, and an Infant Sister; the Paternal Granddaughter of Hershel Payton and Pearl Cleo Welch Payton; and the Maternal Granddaughter of Leroy Gaddis and Girthree "Girt" Stewart Hull Gaddis.
