Vlasta was born in Oenaville, Texas, to the late Emil and Frances Elsik. She worked for 44 plus years at Centex Periodicals in Temple as a Distribution Clerk. Vlasta was a member of Temple Brethren Church, an avid Temple Wildcats Football and UT Longhorn Football fan, and a former member of SPJST. She enjoyed polka music, cooking, and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Antone, Alvin, Olvin, and Johnnie; and sisters, Ella and Ruth.
Survivors include her husband, William, of Temple; daughters, Patricia Havlik and Deborah Havlik; son, William Havlik Jr., all of Temple; granddaughter, Jennifer Havlik, of Temple; sisters, Lillian Billeck and husband, Ed, of Temple, and Dolores Teer, also of Temple; and many nieces and nephews.
