Major League Baseball Player. A native of Smithville, Georgia, he made his major legaue debut in 1930 and played his last game on September 22, 1934. A graduate of the University of Michigan, McAfee played for the Chicago Cubs in 1930, Atlanta Braves in 1931, Washington Senators from 1932 to 1933, and the St. Louis Browns from 1933 to 1934. He died in a plane crash in Culpeper, Virginia, at the age of 50.
