Mrs. Sue Fulp "Duck" "Meme" Goodman, 68, of Mt. Airy went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ Monday, January 12, 2015 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on October 18, 1946 to the late Moir and Edna Mae Gates Fulp. Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Benny Ray Goodman; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Rev. Kelly Haynes; grandchildren, Benji Haynes and girlfriend Terri Hull, Colby Haynes and fiancée Laken Robinson; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Terry Parker; sister-in-law, Margot Goodman; nieces and spouses, Sandy "Rosebud" and Tim Bowman, Candy "Bird" and Mark Harrell, Valerie Parker; great nieces and nephews, Wesley and Jordan Bowman, Duane Harrell and son Brayden, Jennifer Harrell; special son, Freddy Haynes; extended family at Thousand Trails Forrest Lake Campground. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by brothers, Frankie, Charles, and Doug "Bubba" Fulp. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bottom Road Tabernacle with the Rev. Kelly Haynes, the Rev. Brian Frazier, and the Rev. Tommy Vass officiating. Entombment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy and other times at her home 210 Burke Rd.. Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the Gideons P.O. Box 1032, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
