Gunnison, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mildred Lucille Linford Jackson, age 79, of Gunnison, died January 6, 2015 in Centerfield, Utah, from complications due to Alzheimer's Disease. She was born March 20, 1935 in Spry, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Denny and Mildred Doty McClarey Linford.

She married Sterling David Jackson, July 20, 1952 in Fredonia, Arizona. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

Lucille like to sing with the "Sweet Adeline's" singing group. She loved painting ceramics, doing puzzles, cooking excellent meals and reading. Together, Lucille and Sterling enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society and Primary.

Lucille is survived by her beloved husband, Sterling, of Gunnison; her children: Susan and Wayne Goble of Spanish Fork; Virginia and Dean Englestead of Sterling; Shirley and Kelly Gimbel of Henderson, Nevada; David and Susan Jackson of Orem; Robert and Audrey Jackson of Ft. Pierce, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Flora Neagle of Bloomington; Linda Covington of LaVerkin; Connie Stewart of St. George; and one brother, Roger and Sherron Linford of Panguitch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and two brothers: Grace Winget, Caroline Henderson, Henry Linford and Richard Linford.

The Jackson Family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the caregivers from Hospice and the Community Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Gunnison 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 39 East 600 South, in Centerfield, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., or Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
