Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Deford Cash, age 76, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Jackson, with Rev. Justin Wainscott and Rev. Dan Bruce officiating.
Mrs. Cash died Monday, January 12, 2015 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Trumann, AR, daughter of Roberta Smith Deford and the late James Edward Deford. Mrs. Cash graduated from McCormick High School in Trumann, AR where she was Valedictorian of her class. She and her late husband, Michael David Cash, owned D & C Tractor, John Deere Dealership in Jackson. Mrs. Cash was an auxiliary volunteer at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for thirteen years and was a member of the MAC Group at the hospital. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and was a participant in the Living Christmas Tree at the church.
Surviving are her son, Michael Cash and wife Anna of Jackson; her mother, Roberta Deford of Duncan, MS; her brother, Alvis Deford and wife Donna of Starkville, MS; her grandchildren, Jordan Cash of Memphis and Greyson Cash of Jackson, and many other family members and special friends.
Pallbearers for the service will be Greg Cash, Bill Ward, Bill Anderson, Michael Banks, Cathy Dandridge and John Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Banks, Logan Deford and Jeff Justice.
