Elsie(Goss)Dugan, 91, passed away on January 10, 2015 at Heritage Estates in Gering, NE. Elsie was born Nov 3, 1923 in Minatare, NE to George and Millie (Miller) Goss. She was raised and educated in the Gering and Minatare areas; and also received her Cafeteria Manager Certificate from WNCC. She married Russell Dugan on April 17,1955 in the Hope Congregational Church in Bayard, NE.Elsie was a cook and then a head cook at the Morrill Public School cafeteria for 23 ½ years. She enjoyed cooking for the school and her family. Her hobbies included butterfly gardening and all other types of gardening, working at the (Morrill Mall) rummage sale, traveling, camping and sewing.Elsie was very proud of her German/Russian heritage. She was always buying books about the subject and loved to study and talked to others about it. She also loved the town of Morrill and believed there was no better place to live and raise a family.She will be remembered for her winning smile and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Victor and Rinard Goss, sister Lydia Simmons and grandchildren Adrienne and Beau Dugan. Elsie’s funeral service will be held January 17, 2015 at the Morrill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill.
