Sadie Marie Thrift Phillips went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2015. She was born on December 11,1927 in Waycross, Georgia and is the widow of LCDR Samuel B. Phillips.
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three sons: Samuel R. (Diane), Dr. Charles E. (Susan) and Alan J. (Ann) as well as 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of Ortega Baptist and First Baptist Church of Orange Park. Marie was a patient and loving wife and mother who spent her life committed to family and God.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fl 32073.
