Sylvia Fesperman Poole
SALISBURY - Mrs. Sylvia Rae Fesperman Poole, 77, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Mrs. Poole was born July 9, 1937, in Rowan County, daughter of the late Herman Ray "Dick" Fesperman and Hallie Brown Fesperman.
Mrs. Poole was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School Class of 1955. She retired from Rowan County Clerk of Court after 30 years of service as Assistant Clerk of Court. She was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church and was a member of the McDaniel Group.
Mrs. Poole had been in bad health for several years but seriously ill for one week. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, a loving sister, loving sister-in-law and will be missed by all.
Mrs. Poole is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Hayden Poole; son Robert Nelson Poole and wife Jayne of Burlington; two granddaughters Amber Poole and Ashley Poole of Burlington; sister Nathlyn Fesperman Fisher and husband Kinard of Rockwell; sister-in-law Frankie Poole Bost of Charlotte; one niece and three nephews.
Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her parents Herman Ray "Dick" and Hallie Brown Fesperman; in-laws Robert Lee and Ada Hoffner Poole; and sister-in-law Blanche Poole Whirlow.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Faith Lutheran Church Family Life Center from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.
Service: The funeral service is Thursday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. William Ketchie, interim pastor. Burial follows at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials: May be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Debt Reduction Fund, P.O. Box 669, Faith, NC 28041.
