Randall Alan Meyer was born to Melvin D. and Sharon L. (Ward) Meyer on November 13, 1967 at Fairbury, Nebraska. He passed away January 9, 2015 on his farm south of Tobias, Nebraska at the age of 47 years, 1 month, and 27 days.

Randy went to Meridian Public School until the 6th grade and then to Zion Lutheran school for 7th and 8th grade. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1986. He then attended Southeast Community College in Milford and graduated with the class of 1988. He worked for Tuttle, Inc. in Friend for many years, and he truly enjoyed his work and his interactions with fellow employees. When his dad got sick, he continued helping out on the farm in spare time, raising cattle and tending to the crops. Randy enjoyed animals and he always had a dog or two with him on the farm.

Randy enjoyed traveling, and a couple memorable trips were to Alaska and Australia. He also enjoyed hunting, and he particularly enjoyed hunting in the mountains. He and his dad enjoyed International Tractors and Combines, and they maintained a nice collection of tractors and toy tractors.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Melvin D. Meyer; grandparents Rudy and Lena Meyer; and cousin Stanley Meyer.

He is survived by his mother Sharon L. Meyer; sisters Theresa Nadherny, and Tina Mussman and her husband Larry; nephews Chad Mussman, Nick Mussman, Daniel Nadherny, Michael Nadherny, Brian Nadherny; niece Heidi Knippelmeier; uncle and aunt Wayne and Edith Meyer; and aunt Betty Neuburger and her daughter Celeste Ehrecke.

Funeral services for Randy were conducted from the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Tobias on January 16, with Pastor Ryan Meyer officiating. Janile Campbell accompanied the congregation who sang "Amazing Grace and "The Lord's My Shepherd, I'll Not Want."
