Clyde Vernon Goins, 76, of Butlerville, Indiana passed away on January 7, 2015 at his residence.

Clyde was born on April 7, 1938 in Clay County, Kentucky the son of Daugh Goins and Ida Hoskins Curry. He married Nancy Reed on June 27, 1963 in Holton, Indiana; she preceded him in death in 1997.

Clyde was a 1957 graduate of Clay County High School in Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked for Goins Auction Barn in Butlerville, Indiana for 29 years, and Goins Auto Parts in Holton, Indiana. He had also worked at Cummins Engine Company and Cosco both in Columbus, Indiana. He was the head designer and construction engineer on Butlerville Mennonite Church and had donated the property for the church. He was a University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, and enjoyed working with his grandson in Goins Graphics in Butlerville, Indiana.

He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, David and Becky Goins of Butlerville, Indiana; three brothers, Harold Gene (Deloris) Curry of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Frank Goins and William Goins both of Clay County, Kentucky; seven sisters, Pearlie Mae (Dan) Szymanski of New River, Arizona, Barbara Lee (Ronnie) Stamper of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Lucy Pearl Goins, Marilee Goins, Gladys Goins, Sandra Goins and Della Jane Goins all of Clay County, Kentucky; one grandson, Brandon (Rylee) Goins of Butlerville, Indiana and a great-granddaughter, Gretchen Goins of Butlerville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his aunt and uncle who raised him, Charlie and Lizzie Valentine.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Butlerville Mennonite Church with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Church. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Butlerville Mennonite Church.
