She was born on June 11, 1913 in Jewett City, Connecticut to the late Walter and Helen Kaiko. She was an art teacher for the Hamtramck Public School System, retiring in 1978. Wife of the late Phillip, deceased in 1973. Mother of Jack (Suzanne). Grandmother of Elizabeth Choi (Steven, M.D.) and Benjamin (Melissa). Great-grandmother of Madeline, Ethan and Alexandra.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 1-5 p.m. with an afternoon Prayer Service at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd. (Between Maple and Big Beaver), 248-362-2500. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4300 Walnut Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills, with Rev. Ronald Jozwiak officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
