Virgil Meigs, 56, of LaFayette died Monday, January 12, 2015, at his residence.
A memorial service will be at Penton Church of God on Friday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.
Mr. Meigs was born in Chambers County on June 25, 1958. He was a farmer and a truck driver and was a 1977 graduate of Chambers Academy.
He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Meigs was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Pinnix.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
