Sherry Ann Boyanton Matthews, 58, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services were Feb. 3 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with burial in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton. The Rev. Jeff Parker officiated.
Mrs. Matthews was born in Jackson and had lived in Brandon for the past six years, after moving from Coppell, Texas, where she lived for 12 years.
Mrs. Matthews was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon and she also loved working with arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Boyanton.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by her son Richard Ray Armstrong and girlfriend Lynn Dunlap, of Brandon; grandchildren Brittany Marie Armstrong, Jessie Ray Armstrong and Harley Nicole Armstrong; sister Elizabeth Boyanton Holman, of Brandon; brothers Billy J. Boyanton, of Pearl, Alvin O. Boyanton, of Grapevine, Texas, Henry L. Boyanton, of Brandon and Perry R. Boyanton, of Brandon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
