SUDDEN DEATH Rev. Luke Wesner, While Visiting Here Taken iII, and Died Soon After
Rev. Luke Wesner, for the last two years as a minister at a mission in the Mennonite Church of Our Brethren, in Scranton, died suddenly Tuesday evening in St Joseph's Hospital. Rev. Mr. Wesner was in Reading visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wesner, of 326 West Greenwich street, when he was suddenly taken ill.
The exact cause of his death, according to Coroner Norton who is investigating, is not known.
Rev. Mr. Wesner was taken violently ill shortly after 3 o'clock in the after noon and the Junior ambulance removed him to the hospital where medical aid was given to him. He died a short time later. , Rev. Mr.. Wesner, who was 26 years old, was married just three weeks ago. The marriage took place at the home of the bride at Shamokin Dam.

Mrs. Bertha Wesner, his wife, has been notified of his death. When 16 years of age he joined the local Mennonite church and soon afterward began a course of home study for the ministry of that congregation. He graduated from the course with high honors, and for a time helped the pastorate in Reading. He then decided to open a mission in Scranton and with help from that city, has been preaching there for the last two years.

Besides the parents, Adam and Agnas (Frey) Wesner, and the wife, Bertha (Brown), two brothers, Harrison, of Pottstown, and Wallace, of Reading, survive. A sister, Mary, at home, and a step - sister, Bertha, wife of John Hinkle, of Walnuttown pa also remain
