Marjorie Loye Strange Lewis, age 96, beloved wife of the late William Morgan Lewis Sr., died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. Strange and Hallie Loye Kennedy Strange. Loye was a woman of strong faith. She and her husband were longtime members of Grace Baptist Church and most recently she was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church. Loye taught kindergarten at Grace Baptist Christian School for over 40 years. Loye co-founded the Silver Center with Trinity UMC. This was an afternoon childcare which she stayed involved with for many years. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by; one son, Christopher Lewis, and four brothers, James C. Strange, Rembert H. Strange, H. Coile Strange and Oscar R. Strange.
