David was born October 19, 1944 in Ferdinand to Lawrence and Amelia (Dilger) Hassfurther.
David is survived by his
son, Keith Hassfurther;
four brothers, Linus, Tom, Pat and Sylvester”Nessy”;
one sister, Martha Hulsman;
two grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by
four brothers, Edgar, Joe, Albert and Norman:
two sisters, Ruth Gish and Dorothy Oeding.
David was owner-operator of Hassfurther Masonry and a member of Dubois County Homebuilders Association. He enjoyed being out on the farm with animals, especially his dog Opie. David also operated Dave’s Mule Train. He was an avid Forest Park Ranger fan.
Funeral services will be in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
