Reatha Brown Richardson, 83, of LaFayette, Marcoot Community, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Caulfield will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service.
She was born in Randolph County to Jesse Thomas Brown and Nettie Brooks Brown and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Richardson was a retired LPN, having worked at the old Wheeler Hospital and later at Chambers County Hospital, both in LaFayette.
Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Jack Richardson of Marcoot; three children, Phillip Lee (wife, Phyllis Windsor) Richardson and Joyce Richardson Adams, all of Marcoot, and Thomas Jerry Richardson of Valley; one sister, Rosalyn Brazell of LaFayette; one brother, Donald Brown of Roanoke; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Richardson, Justin Richardson, Brock Richardson, Joshua Adams, Bradley Richardson, Taylor Richardson and John Richardson.
