Mildred grew up in Kansas. She attended a one-room school three miles from her home. She was the youngest of six children and was raised by her widowed mother.
In 1936, she married A.G. Ewing; one son was born to that union. They were divorced and in 1948, she met Roger J. Day in McCook, Nebraska. They were married on July 3, 1949. Roger worked construction and they traveled. They settled in Kersey in 1954, where Mildred was a full-time homemaker. They lived for 12 years, farming, in Platteville and retired in Greeley
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Day, her parents, four sisters, one brother and one great-grandson, Holdon Ewing.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 followed by Funeral service at 3:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
