James Daniel "J.D." Crawford Sr. age 70 of Featherwood Drive Morganton passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday Jan. 10, 2015 in the North East Ga. Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Crawford was born on April 19, 1944 in Owensboro, KY., the son of the late James Daniel Crawford and the late Theda Sanderfer Crawford. James was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. He always cared for people and helped in any way that he could. He was a devoted Christian and was devoted to his church. James was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and also a sister, Linda Gail Crawford. James was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
