OBITUARY - COURIER JOURNAL - 01/13/2015 - Ray, Wayne Thomas,58, of Fairdale, KY, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was employed by J. Y. Legner Associates at LG& E Hyrdo Electric Plant and a member of Calvary Hill Separate Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Ray, father, James Ray and nephew Thomas E. Perkins.He is survived by his wife Cassandra "Cassie" Gunther Ray, stepdaughters, Tosha Masden (Corey), Elizabeth Bittinger (Donnie), step son, Ty Gunther (Amber), sister, Marsha Perkins (Thomas), brother, Kenny Ray, niece, Pamela Herd (Stewart) nephew A.J. Newell; five grandchildren and his loving dogs, Josie & Gizmo.Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Fairdale-McDaniel 411 Fairdale Road, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Bluegrass Shih Tzu Rescue Inc.
