Funeral services for Bernice Lee Neal Sartor, age 92 of Bonham, TX will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Boyd Baptist Church north of Bonham, with son-in-law, the Rev. John Glover officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons- Stephen Glover, Michael Glover, Dylan Neal, Zack Love, Josh Neal, and Dylan Melton. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Bernice passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.
Bernice Lee Neal Sartor was born on August 9, 1922 to John and Minnie Caldwell in Fannin County, TX. She married Thomas M. Neal on February 25, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1987 after 49 years of marriage. She married James A. Sartor in 1989, which preceded her in death in 2014. Bernice was a proud charter member of Boyd Baptist Church and lived in the Boyd Community the majority of her life. She was also a member of the Bonham Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She dedicated her life to her children and enjoyed reading, keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Neal and wife Mary Jane of Bonham, TX; Rodney Neal and wife Kelly of McKinney, TX; Linda Bickers of Dallas, TX; and Virginia Glover and husband Johnny of Cleburne, TX. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary of Boyd Baptist Church.
