She was daughter of the late Charles Warner Bailey & Ruth Montrose Roydes Bailey; Elmira, N.Y.
Also was predeceased by her Husband of 49 years; Hugh I. Pierce; where he welcomed her home to his waiting arms, her son, Frank A. Pierce, her daughter (tragically) Patricia Ann Pierce LaCaprara (7/8/2013) & great granddaughter, Kayla Fuller. Also predeceased by brother & sister in law, John R. Bailey & Phyliss J. Clark.
She is survived by her daughers, Linda J. Fort, Binghamton & Suzanne R. Williams (James Lamb), Nanticoke. Her grandsons, Gary (Tanya) Fuller, Old Forge. PA, Greg Fuller (Donna Cooper), Linden, Indiana and Quan Fort, Binghamton. Great granddaughter Morgan L. Fuller, Old Forge, PA. Great grandsons, Jarid, Julian & Jesse Fuller, Old Forge, PA & Nathan Fuller, Scranton, PA. A special granddaughter, Rhonda (Patrick) Beatty, So. Albington, PA. and a brother C. Richard Bailey of Columbia, SC. nieces & nephews.
She was employed for several years at Good Shepherd Fairview Home, till she and her husband moved to Norfolk, VA where she was employed as a CNA at Lynn Shorr Nursing Home till 1989, when they moved to Exeter PA and transferred to Wyoming Valley Nursing home (CNA) till her retirement in 2004.
After retirement, mom & dad love to travel and spend time with family and friends. Mom used to love our trips to Florida, where she loved to lay out on the beach.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the wonderful care they took of mom while she was in their care.
The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home 7323 119th St. Whitney Point Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 11 a.m. until service time at 12 noon.
