He was born on Dec. 12, 1926, in Parkersburg and was the son of the late Victor and Ethel McPherson Underwood.
Harold served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at Blennerhassett Dairy in his younger years, a business owned by his father and mother. Then, he worked at Kaiser Aluminum in Belpre and ended his career there as a quality control lab technician. He was a member of Rockland United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Pat Underwood and his friend, George, and Joe Underwood and wife, Deb; his grandchildren, Adam and Jenny; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Tom Underwood.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Underwood; and sister, Evelyn Underwood Hamilton.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Rockland United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Condrey officiating.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, assisted the family with arrangements.
