James "Jim" Greenall, 87, of Arlington passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015.
Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Mystic, Iowa, he was the son of Job Greenall and Louise Cecil Raines Greenall.
Jim married Edith Louise Smith on July 9, 1949, in Riesel.
Mr. Greenall was a longtime member of Lamar Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1967, having served his country for 22 years in Puerto Rico, Japan, Germany, Fort Sill, Okla., Korea, and Fort Hood. He also retired from CertainTeed Products after a long career with them in Waco and Fort Worth. Jim enjoyed the seniors' group at Lamar Baptist church and took great delight in the activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Job Jr., Minnie W, Harry, Garnet, Mary and William; and grandson, James Corey Walker.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Edith Greenall; sister, Thurza Ann Smith of Georgia; daughters, Judy Hamilton (Dan) of Arlington and Valecia Jane Madaris of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Scott Hamilton (Julie) of Arlington, Nicholas Hamilton of Fort Worth, and Valecia Walker of Seville, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Alexander (Xander) and McKinley Hamilton, of Arlington and Bella Burkett of Seville, Ohio.
