Miss Selma Amelia Jensen, 77, died Friday at a local hospital from a paralytic stroke suffered a week ago.
Miss Jensen was a lifelong resident of this city and for many years she and her sisters operated a hotel known as the Jensen house.
She was born in Mt. Pleasant Sept. 22, 1873. her parents, Andrew P. and Bena Lundblad Jensen, were among the original settlers of Mt. Pleasant in 1853. She attended Wasatch Academy and was a member of the first Presbyterian church and Woman's Missionary Society. She was a former member of O S A club.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. H. P. Jensen (Hilda) of Salt Lake City; Mrs. John H. Stansfield (Rimina) and Mrs. Lurinda J. Nielson of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Leona J. Rexey(?) of Woodlake, Cal. and Mrs. H. Guy Wood (Afton) of South Pasadena, Cal.
