"Greenup Estill Vaught, 80-year-old retired Pulaski County farmer, died at his home on Crab Orchard Road Sunday following an illness of four years.

A son of the late H.H. and Margaret Dungan Vaught, Mr. Vaught was born on the Stilesville Road near Somerset June 19, 1874. He married Ida Cora McGahan January 1, 1903 and six children were born to this union.

A member of the Union Church of Christ for many years, Mr. Vaught attended services regularly as long as his health permitted. He farmed around the Sweeney's Chapel neighborhood for many years before retiring several years ago.

Mr. Vaught is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Robert Meece and Mrs. Wayman Stewart, both of Rt. 3, Somerset, Mrs. Herman Stogsdill, Somerset, and Mrs. Ennis Eubank, Ludlow, two sons, Arnold Vaught, Somerset, and Melvin Vaught, Shopville, one sister, Mrs. Lillie McKinney, Riverton, Wyoming, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Union Church of Christ, the Rev. George Russell officiating. Burial was in the Union cemetery."
