Services for Bernadine M. Anderson, age 74, St. Cloud, who died Monday, May 8 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud were Thursday, May 11 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St Cloud.
Rev. Timothy Baltes officiated. Burial will take place in North Star Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Bernadine was born Aug. 4, 1925 in Melrose to William and Mary (Helsper) Gieske. She married Wallace L. Anderson on Nov. 2, 1946 in Minneapolis. She lived in St Cloud most of her life where she sewed drapes for Herberger's Department Store. She also worked as a bartender and waitress at the St, Cloud Eagle's Club for over 30 years.
She was currently an employee of the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud where she had worked since 1973. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 622 Auxiliary, VFW Post 4847 Auxiliary, St. Paul's Catholic Church and Christian Women.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by: her children Lynn Robertson, Alaska; Keith, Olympia, Wash.; Steve, Olympia, Wash.; Duane, St. Cloud; Kurt, Becker; Nadine "Deana" Zachgo, Alaska; Kristie Anderson, California; Jeff, Nebraska; and Kari Holt, Alaska; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers Robert Gieske, Paynesville; and John "Jack" Gieske, Minneapolis and sister Rita Peterson - Texas.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband (1985), brother William Bollinger and granddaughter Stacie Anderson.
