Charles W. Marsh
This community was saddened when it learned of the death of one of its prominent citizens, Charles W. Marsh, which occurred at the McCready Memorial Hospital on Monday morning. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Marsh had been ill for some time with a complication of diseases, and gradually grew worse until he was advised to enter the Hospital on Sunday, but his condition was such that nothing could be done for him and he died quietly and peacefully Monday morning.

For many years he followed the water, and was well known and highly respected all along Maryland and Virginia's tidewater. He was a resident of Crisfield for about 15 years.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Nielson, of Saxis, Va., three brothers, Edward, Walter and Wilbur Marsh, and one sister, Mrs. John Oliver Evans, of Smith's Island.

His body was carried back to his old home on Monday, and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. Ralph officiating. Interment was in the Church yard at Rhodes Point.

Mr. Marsh was a conscientious Christian, a man of high moral Character, and one who enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who came into contact with him. He will be greatly missed.

The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, January 11, 1935, p. 1
