Norman “Boss” Blattel, age 84, of Scott City, MO passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born on May 25, 1930 in Scott City, MO to the late Edward Phillip and Josephine Griffin Blattel. He married Rose “Tootie” Glastetter on June 30, 1956 and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2009.
Norman was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and the Cape Girardeau Knights of Columbus #1111.

Survivors include three sons, Darrel (Joan) Blattel of Scott City, MO, Gerald (Marge) Blattel Chaffee, MO, Bradley Blattel of Scott City, MO; four daughters, Edie (Leon) Eeftink of Leopold, MO, Mary (Jim) Chambers of Chaffee, MO, Sherry Dunseith of Moberly, MO, Patsy (Dale “Red”) Tenkhoff of Chaffee, MO; one brother, Leon Blattel of St. Charles, MO; eleven grandchildren, Steve and Lucas Eeftink, Andy (Amy) Blattel, Ryan (Emily) Blattel, Jimmy Chambers, Nikki (Marcus LeGrand) Chambers, John Chambers, Amy Blattel, Layton and Landon Tenkhoff and Kati Blattel; two great grandchildren, Owen and Ty Blattel.

He was also preceded in death by five sisters, two brothers, one great grandchild, Lane Eden Blattel and one son in law, Robert Wayne Dunseith.

Burial at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso, Mo.
