Published in The Paducah Sun, Paducah, McCracken Co., Ky., 12 Feb 2004 - Services for Earnest M. Alexander, 84, of Lansing, formerly of Roseland and Paducah, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home. Burial was in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind.

Mr. Alexander died Saturday at Community Hospital in Munster, Ind.

He farmed for Rosebud Farms for 14 years and was a longtime retail manager.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne Bruce Alexander; two sons, Charles Alexander and Russell Alexander; three daughters, Beverly Staska, Deborah Thomson and Lori Fields; one brother, Roscoe Alexander; five sisters, Elizabeth Wurth, Etna Bloomingburg, Essie Wyatt, Dessie Samsil and Dorthy Herndon; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
