Whipple James Gandy, 60, of 2385 Dora St., died Monday afternoon at a hospital.
Mr. Gandy was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a member of the Meth¬odist Church. He was employed as on electrician for the Escambia County School Board, a veteran of World War II and the son of the late Sheriff and Mrs. H. E. Gandy Sr.
Survivors include four brothers, Hamp Gandy and Luther Gandv, both of Pensacola. Cecil Gandy of Beaumont, Texas, and Orin Gandy of Walker Town, N.C.; and seven sisters, Viola Long, Doris Bates, Nellie Thorkilsen, Thelma Atkinson, Gay Saklarios and Dimple Polk, oil of Pensacola, and Charlotte Hughes of Pace.
Funeral services will be 2 P.m. Thursday in the Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Rev. Paul Mathison officiating.
Burial will be at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitors may call Wednesday offer 4 p.m. at Fisher-Pou.
