SAVANNAH – Amelia Jaudon died Friday, January 9, 2015, at Hospice House.
Mrs. Jaudon was a faithful servant at Southside Baptist Church, writing cards and making calls to shut-ins as well as visiting them. She was a Sunday School teacher, teaching 7th grade girls, and picking some of them up before Sunday School. She worked in the Nursery for many years and for a number of years she and her husband were in charge of the Youth Ministry of the church.
Mrs. Jaudon worked in the retail business at Sears for many years.
Survivors include her son, James B. Jaudon III, her daughter, Kidron J. Robertson (Terry D. Robertson); 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Jaudon, Jr., Landon Denmark, and several sisters.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Backus Children’s Hospital in memory of Landon Denmark.
