Final rites for Mrs. Anderson held Wednesday

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Mt. Pleasant First-Fourth Ward Chapel for Mrs. Emma Johnson Anderson, 75, who died after a lingering illness July 4 at 1 p.m. in a Provo hospital.

She was born in Helsingborg, Sweden, January 4, 1889, a daughter of Lars and Lovisa Larson Johnson. She came to this country in August, 1911.

She married Nelson W. Anderson October 7, 1909, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died November 14, 1942.

Surviving are one son and one daughter, Gordon N. Anderson and Mrs. Don (Olive) Griffiths, both of Mt. Pleasant; also three sisters, Mrs. Ida Swalberg, Salt Lake City; Mrs. John T. (Lily) Cliff, Ogden; Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Halverson, Scottsdale, Arizona.

She was a member of the OSA Club and during her younger years was well known as a vocalist.

Interment was in Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery directed by Ursenbach Funeral Home. O' V. Anderson dedicated the grave.

Parents: Lars and Louise Larson Johnson. Married Nelson W. Anderson, Oct. 7 1909, Salt Lake City. He died Nov. 14, 1942.
She is survived by a son and daughter; Gordon N., and Olive Griffiths. Sisters; Ida Swalberg, Lillie Cliff and Margaret Halverson.
