Earl R. Miller, 79, of 4009 Scottsdale Road, Greensboro, NC died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at his home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Gospel Baptist Church, conducted by Reverend Paul Luttrell, and Reverend Harlie Miller, Jr. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Miller was born in Carroll County. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. For many years, he was part owner of P&H Services and later years became self employed. He was a faithful member and a deacon at Gospel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Miller; sons, Earl R. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Regina, of Greensboro, NC; Michael Miller and his wife, Teresa, of Brown Summit, NC; sisters, Eula Fulk; and Martha Anderson and her husband, Carl, of Woodlawn; grandchildren, David Miller; Sara Miller; Nolan Miller; Amber Long and Alleigh Long; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Danny Scott Miller.
