Ruth was born November 24, 1921 in Blairsville Georgia to the late William & Lillie (Elliott) Patterson. An embodiment of Ruth of the Bible, her faith and love was evident in all facets of her life. Having grown up during The Depression Era, Ruth relied on the promises of her favorite of psalms, Psalm 23. Ruth was gifted with a servants heart and provided care to many family members and friends over the years, even learning the art and serving as a midwife. Having never bared children of her own didn't matter much because she was considered "mother" by many who knew her and she loved them just the same. She was a precious lady and the family will cherish memories of biscuit & gravy morning wake ups and her famous fried apple pies.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings, Eugene Patterson, Anna Bell Patterson, Vada Lee "Pat" Tinnara, W.H. "Bill" Patterson, Ella Faye Payne, Herbert Patterson and Irene Davis.
