GEORGE WOOD, aged 72 years, a veteran of the Civil War, died Tuesday night at 492 West Front street, where he had a room. Death was due to dropsy. He had been ill for some time, under the care of a physician. As far as is known he had no relatives in this city, and the body was turned over to the coroner and taken to the morgue.
