Mary later married her late husband, Anthony, and worked at Sylvania and Barry Shoe in Lynn. After her husband’s death she worked at Athens Bakery of Salem. Later she worked for the City of Salem in the school cafeterias until retirement.
However, Mary's greatest joy was dedicating herself to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in attending sporting events, was always willing to babysit, and loved holidays spent at her daughter Elaine's surrounded by family and friends.

Pinto and Steven Pinto and his wife Nancy all of Salem, Billy Pinto and Jody Murray of Danvers, four grandchildren Lisa and Andrea Adamopoulos, Joseph Pinto and Michael Pinto, 5 great grandchildren Chase, Brodie, Colin, Anthony and Alanna Marie.
